Wyndham Park Nursery School is an outstanding maintained nursery school for 2-4 year olds.  We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher to join our small, friendly and dedicated staff team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a maintained nursery school as Deputy Headteacher.  Our school is becoming part of a wider group of Nursery Schools across the county that work together and this means that not only will you work with the Wyndham Park Nursery School Team but also our wider team.

Our Headteacher works across other maintained nursery schools so you will be the day to day contact for our children, staff and families. Therefore, we need you to be positive, smiley, friendly and approachable.  You need to be confident in your decisions and able to use your initiative. We are looking for someone who is organised and can think on their feet.

You need to believe that early education has the power to change children’s lives and want to offer our families the very best, research based, early years curriculum.

Part of your role will be as Designated Safeguarding Lead and Designated Teacher for Looked After Children.

You will be required to teach as part of the role but this will vary depending on the needs of the school.

We are passionate about our work with the wider Early Years sector so sharing good practice and supporting other schools and settings will be part of your role.

We strive to remain outstanding and a key element to this is realising we are never finished, we are constantly looking for ways to improve or be even better.

We welcome visits to the school please contact the School Office on 01476 563966 to arrange a time to meet us and find out more.

You can download an application pack from our website - all the information is at the bottom of this page.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of  children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Applicants should note that this post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.
