After listening to feedback from parents we have decided to make some changes to how we charge for snack and enhancements. Rather than asking for a weekly amount and a contribution we have hopefully made it easier for parents by including everything in one charge!
Over the course of the year at Wyndham Park we like to offer your child as many new experiences as possible to foster their interests and support their education.
The government funding that we receive is intended to cover the cost to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of free, high quality, early education. It is not intended to cover the cost of snacks, consumables or additional services.
This means that we ask our parents to help us cover the costs of ‘extra’ activities (we call them enhancements), end of term parties, Christmas and summer shows, snacks and baking through donations.
Rather than asking for a donation for each separate activity we find parents prefer a ‘one off’ amount.
Therefore we are asking families for £100.00 (with equates to 53p a day!) towards the cost of the ‘extra’ activities: Christmas party and show – The Lost Present (Topsy Turvy Theatre), 5 weeks of music sessions with Rattle and Roll usually starting in January, 5 weeks of yoga or a similar activity usually after February half term, 6 weeks of a specialised sports coach such as Multi skills, rugby or football after Easter, visit from ZooLab (a live animal handling session), summer party and show – TBC, walks and visits in the local area, daily snack and cookery ingredients.
There will be three options to pay:
1 payment to cover the year of £100
6 termly payments of £17
38 weekly payments of £2.65
This can be paid through SchoolMoney our online payment system once you have registered on it (details will be sent in September) or with cash through the office.
