Road Safety Week!

This week we have been learning about road safety!

As part of Road Safety Week, we have had lots of transport themed activities available. The children have enjoyed using the small cars to make track marks in the shaving foam and with paint, and have made transport collages. We have also been practicing our scissor skills by cutting up strips of black and white paper, and then arranging them to look like the pattern on a zebra crossing.

During group times, we have had lots of discussions about road safety. We talked about being safe in the car by wearing our seat belts, and when crossing the road by using the different types of crossings, and remembering to Stop, Look and Listen!

We have been singing our Road Safety song every day too!

"Look both ways before you cross the street,

Use your eyes before you use your feet.

Stop at the curb, and hold hands tight,

Keep listening and looking and you'll be alright!

Look right, look left, look right again,

Dont be a silly billy, use your brain!

Stop at the curb, and hold hands tight,

Keep listening and looking and you'll be alright!"
